aTP-  Arab tourism portal- Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture who was on a working visit in India this week was invited to inaugurate a craniotomy machine which will help with skull reconstruction and craniocynostosis technology at the Balaji Dental and Craniofacial Hospital in Chennai.

 

Dr Balaji is a friend of Seychelles and he has been for many years offering his services to the people of Seychelles by dedicating time at the Seychelles Hospital. Dr Balaji took the opportunity of the visit by the Seychelles Minister to inaugurate his latest piece of equipment that will be used for better precision and safety in skull reconstructions because this piece of equipment has an in-built safeguard for cutting hard tissue.

 

 

 

 

 

When Dr Balaji invited Minister Alain St.Ange of the Seychelles to inaugurate the craniotomy machine in the presence of the Seychelles delegation accompanying their Minister and members of the gathered press from India, Dr Balaji said that this new piece of equipment will ensure that no damage is caused to the dura tissue of the brain during operations. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After pressing the pedal of the new craniotomy machine and seeing its hand held piece of equipment turn Minister Alain St.Ange addressed the gathered press. "I would like firstly to say thank you to Dr Balaji for inviting us to visit his hospital and to inaugurate this new craniotomy machine. Doctor Balaji is a friend of our country and has performed many operations in Seychelles free of charge. Today we saw for ourselves his private hospital and can say that we are impressed. The Doctor has confirmed that his next voluntary mission in Seychelles is coming again soon. Once again he will be working with our Ministry of Health to help a number of our citizens. Thank you Doctor Balaji. As we are her it is important to spell out once again why we are in Chennai on this working visit" Minister St.Ange said before positioning the Seychelles as the new holiday destination for the Indian travellers.
"We are your neighbours, like you we sit in the same Indian Ocean as you are and you can all enter Seychelles without the need for entry visas. In this troubled world Seychelles remains a safe year round tourism destination with an impeccable safety label" the Minister said as he ended his address.

 


The presentation by Minister St.Ange was followed by an open question and answer session with the press present. 

 

 

 

 

 

The Seychelles Minister, who was on a working visit primarily to increase the visibility of his tourism paradise islands was being accompanied to the Balaji Dental and Craniofacial Hospital by Sherin Naiken, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, the Seychelles Honorary Consul of Seychelles in Chennai, Mr M. S. Sai also joined the delegation in Chennai and members of his delegation from the Seychelles business trading community including Ramu Pillay, Kannan Pillay, Shanmugam Pillay, Durai Pillay, Nadesh Pillay and Palani Basha.
