aTP-  Arab tourism portal News- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz , on Thursday 29 November 2016, patronized and opened the “Roads of Arabia” expo at King Abdul Aziz International Cultural Center, an affiliate of Saudi Aramco in Al Dhahran.

 

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques also gave his approval for the “Roads of Arabia” expo to make its second international tour in the East Asian countries, starting from Beijing form 20th December 2016.

 


The Custodian’s patronage of the “Roads of Arabia” expo is considered as the crowning glory of His Majesty’s persistent attention towards national herniate and as an additional support to the expo which has achieved remarkable success in its previous nine stops throughout a number of eminent international museums in the Europe and USA after its first launch from the Louver Museum in Parse, France in 2010.

 

The success of the exhibition was clear in light the large number of people that visited it. About three million visitors, throughout its previous nine stops in addition to world media attention contributed to highlighting Kingdom’s historic importance, introducing the whole world to Kingdom’s cultural dimension, besides it has created a remarkable shift in the international view towards the Kingdom’s history and the successive civilizations.

 

 

 

 


The exhibition is now back to the Kingdom with its unique relics selected from different museums in the Kingdom, at the forefront of them comes the National Museum and the King Saud University Museum.

 


The exhibition’s national stop allows important opportunity to citizens to identify its various unique relics, as well as recognize Kingdom’s cultural dimension and historical depth through its successive civilizations that occurred in the Kingdom and also comes in response to a wish expressed by late Prince Saud Al Faisal, who had hoped the exhibition to be held in the Kingdom when he had opened its first stop in the Louver Museum in 2010.

 

The approval of the King on March 2015 to the “Roads of Arabia” exhibition to continue its international tour, constituted a great support to the exhibition and its message after concluding its nine stops, four in Europe which began at the Louver Museum in France, followed by La Caixa Foundation in Spain, the State Hermitage Museum, Russia, the Pergamon Museum in Germany, then followed by its USA tour in which it was held in Sackler Gallery in Washington DC, Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, Fine Art Museum in Texas, the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Missouri, Asian Art Museum in San Francesco.

 

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz had opened the Roads of Arabia exhibition at Al Dhahran on last Thursday 29 November 2016, in the presence of Prince Mohammad bin Nayef bin Abdul Aziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.

 

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques listened to a detailed explanation by  Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, President of SCTH on the exhibition, which is held in the Kingdom after concluding its last international tour in which it had visited four European museums and five USA museums, and during which it was visited by over 3 million visitors.

 


Following his tour in the exhibition, His Majesty gave his approval for the launch of the Asian tour of the exhibition which will begin with Beijing on 20 December 2016, then South Korea, Japan and South Korea again, following the approval of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on March 2015 for the exhibition to be held in different world continents.
