Discover the wonders of Seychelles’ undersea world with ‘Penguins’ semi-submersible submarines

 

 

 



 
aTP-  Arab tourism portal- The beauty of the Seychelles is just not about its pristine greenery, stunning beaches and clear turquoise blue seas, but its underwater world is also a great part of its unique attraction. Many have come from near and far to explore and admire what Seychelles has beneath its turquoise ocean.



Diving and glass bottom boats have provided both locals and visitors to Seychelles the chance to see how life under the sea is.










But now, without having the trouble of getting wet, one can simply sit and enjoy the wonders of the sea in the newly launched ‘Penguin’ semi-submersible submarines.
Local destination management company Creole Travel Services in collaboration with the HLB Group of South Korea has brought two of those new semi-submersible submarines known as ‘Penguins’.












The launch was held in the Sainte Anne marine park on Tuesday in the presence of the Minister for Tourism and Culture Alain St.Ange, principal secretary for tourism Anne Lafortune, chief executive of the Seychelles Tourism Board Sherin Naiken and Seychelles consul general based in South Korea Dong Chang Jeong.



Also present were the chairman of the JAF group Joseph Albert, and that of the HLB group Yang Gon Jin and the general manager of Creole Travel Services Guillaume Albert among other guests.













Speaking at the event, Minister St.Ange said the launch of this new addition to the island’s tourism sector is good as Seychelles needs the private sector to increase the yield from its tourism industry. "It is by having facilities and activities that our visitors want that will entice them to spend their holiday budget earmarked for Seychelles. Today we are witnessing the bringing in of new initiatives and activities for our visitors, this is a step in the right direction" said Minister St.Ange.



The Minister responsible for Tourism saluted Creole Travel Services for offering a new product and service for the tourists visiting our shores.











"We are proud to see a Seychellois investing in hie country’s tourism industry. The penguins semi-submersible submarines will give the people of Seychelles as well as tourists the chance to better appreciate what we have under the sea and to understand the importance of preserving our island’s beautiful marine environment", the Minister added.


Also speaking at the launch, Mr Dong Chang Jeong said the ‘Penguins’ will enable more people to enjoy the fantastic underwater world of Seychelles.


He added that this is an ideal product for our country as Seychelles has a beautiful underwater world.













Mr Dong said the launch of the ‘Penguins’ in Seychelles as our country and South Korea are this year celebrating 40 years of diplomatic relations. It was Guillaume Albert, the general manager of Creole Travel Services who had the pleasure and honor of welcoming everyone gathered for the official launch of the two ‘Penguin’ semi-submersible submarines. Mr Albert explained the drive of his company to continue to work for Seychelles alongside the Seychelles Tourism Board to help consolidate the island’s tourism industry. Mr Guillaume Albert said that as per tradition it was his company’s honor to announce that Sherin Naiken, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board and Julie Kim, the Manager of the Seychelles Tourism Board’s Korea Office were the God Mothers of the two ‘Penguin’ semi-submersible submarines 


These two eco-friendly units are battery-powered and can enable clients to enjoy a full-day excursions as it can last for eight hours.
