The five Ministers were all attending the Official lunch the launched the French Tourism Trade Fair but made time to discuss matters affecting tourism on the African Continent and the islands of Africa. The question of the Ebola crisis was discussed and all felt it was important for Africa to work to break the perception that trouble in one country affects the whole continent. "The size of Africa and the number of independent states that make up this great continent of Africa is still a subject that many fail to understand and appreciate. It remains our problem to better inform the world at large because this will benefit us all" said Minister St.Ange of the Seychelles.

Tourism in Africa is today on the Agenda of the African Union (AU).

France remains a major source market for many African Countries including the islands of the Indian Ocean and all Ministers agreed that more needed to be done for Africa to claim its fair share of that market.
