"TRADITION"  International Artist Ed Miracle s artworks to be exhibited at the Cove Rotana in Ras Al Khaimah

Almasalla Arab Travel Portal News – Dubai – Artissima Gallery, under the patronage of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism will be hosting an exhibition titled "Tradition" by International artist, Ed Miracle at the Cove Rotana Resort, Ras Al Khaima. The exhibition opens at 7pm on May 19th and continues until the 25th of May 2014.

Aurela Cuku, Managing Partner, Artissima Gallery said, “We had a positive response to bringing well known international artists to the UAE which prompted us to also showcase the Gicle versions of the artworks of celebrated American artist Ed Miracle who is popular among the Arab art collectors.”

The Gicle is a form of Fine Art reproduction where the original image of the painting is digitally printed via inkjet onto Canvas.  The benefits of printing on Canvas are second to none as it provides extremely high quality reproductions of the original while maintaining the vast color pallets the artist created.

Ed Miracle, a Navy veteran and self-taught artist did a wry pen-and-ink drawing of sailing ships falling off the edge of the earth and captioned it "I Told You So".

It was a hit, so Miracle redid it as an oil painting.  In 1972, he painted all the backgrounds and many of the costumes at the world famous ‘Laguna Beach Festival of the Arts and Pageant of the Masters’.

In 1984 Ed Miracle moved to Europe and continued working on private collections in the UAE and around the world. Today his work in form of paintings and sculptures is hosted in galleries and in private collections globally with some of his most inspiring pieces owned by the royal families in the UAE.

“While the idea of the Gicle is rapidly growing in popularity throughout the world, it is relatively new to the Middle East and we are hoping to spark its growth by introducing a selection of works by artist Edward D. Miracle,” added Aurela.

Miracle spent over ten years in the Middle East as the painter for the royal family of Sharjah, namely H.E. Sheikh Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan Al Qassimi.  His works created during this period are in the collections of the royal families of Sharjah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar as well as various Ambassadors, dignitaries, companies and private collectors.  His works are also on permanent display in various palaces, museums and at The gold Centre in Sharjah.
