RAK Ruler receives Al Mataf Heritage and Marine Folklore Society delegation
Almasalla, ATP News- RAS AL KHAIMAH,(WAM) – Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, today received the Board of Directors of the Al Mataf Heritage and Marine Folklore Society at his palace, headed by Abdullah Ahmed Al Shaiba.
The RAK Ruler praised the efforts exerted by the Board of Directors of the society in preserving rowing and heritage sports, as well as in recruiting participants from among today’s generation.
Also, the delegation congratulated Sheikh Saud on his boat’s victory in local competitions. Further, Al Shaiba praised the support provided by Sheikh Saud to folklore societies in Ras Al Khaimah and, particularly, the Al Mataf Heritage and Marine Folklore Society. He also briefed the Sharjah Ruler on the society’s activities and programmes regarding the revival of Emirati folklore.
